These instruments were designed and constructed to specifications provided by harmonica legend Toots Thielemans. Toots recommends his Mellow Tone signature model for ballads and classical compositions and his Hard Bopper's thicker reedplate for blues or rock. These three octave chromatics feature pearwood combs and chrome-plating on both covers and mouthpiece.
